敬愛的艾達臣博士，我們永遠懷念您!Dear Dr. Anderson, we will always miss you!

We’re shocked to hear the passing of the WFD Honorary President Dr. Yerker Andersson. He was an advocate of the leadership training to the world deaf. MDA expresses our deep condolences to his family. May Dr. Andersson rest in peace.

In 1993, Dr. Andersson set foot in Macao and helped MDA organize the first Deaf Leadership Training Programme. Under his experienced and knowledgeable teachings, the deaf learned a lot from Dr. Andersson. The programme broadened their horizon and the deaf were able to apply what they learned into practice. Dr. Andersson left indelible contributions to the deaf leaders in Macao.

Dr. Andersson continued to provide support for the deaf in Macao in 1995. With his support, the deaf in Macao were given opportunities to receive leadership trainings at the Gallaudet University where they learned various knowledge to develop the services in Macao. We’re all grateful to Dr. Andersson’s efforts and support to Macao.

More importantly, Dr. Andersson and Fr. Cyril attended the 12th WFD Congress held in Vienna. At the WFD RSA/P Meeting, Dr. Andersson supported and encouraged MDA to join WFD Membership. At the same year, MDA became the only organization from Macau affiliated to the WFD. Dr. Andersson deserved enormous credit.

驚聞前「世界聾人聯合會」主席，世界聾人領袖訓練課程的倡導者──艾達臣博士(Dr. Yerker-andersson)逝世消悉，本會仝人深表哀悼，並對艾達臣博士的家屬表達深切的慰問，願艾達臣博士一路走好。

1993年艾達臣博士踏足澳門，協助本會舉辦首次聾人領袖訓練課程，在知識淵博和經驗豐富的艾達臣博士教導之下，讓聾人增長不少知識，擴闊了眼界，獲益良多，並將學到的知識運用到實踐中。艾達臣博士為培訓澳門聾人領袖作出了不可磨滅的貢獻。

1995年艾達臣博士繼續為本澳聾人提供幫助，讓本澳聾人有機會參與在嘉路達聾人大學為期一個月的聾人領袖培訓，深入學習各種相關知識，以協助本澳服務的發展。

更重要的是，1995年艾達臣博士和陳民安神父参加在维也纳舉行第十二屆世界聾人聯合會會議，在亞太地區會議上艾達臣博士大力支持和推動本會加入世界聾人聯合會，就在這一年，本會正式成為澳門參與世界聾人聯合會(WFD)的唯一會員機構，艾達臣博士功不可沒。

再一次感謝艾達臣博士一直對本澳聾人付出的心血和支持。
